Injuries, downed power lines reported in NW OKC crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries have been reported in connection to a single-vehicle accident that happened Monday in northwest Oklahoma City.

According to News 9, the crash happened sometime before 5 a.m. near the intersection of West Memorial Road and North Western Avenue, which is just north of Costco and Cabela’s.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a vehicle crashed into a power pole near the intersection, causing power lines to fall.

There’s no word yet regarding how many people were hurt, nor is it clear if they required hospitalization.

Motorists likely encountered delays in the area while crews worked to assist the victims, address the downed lines, and clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
