Injuries reported in crash involving semi on I-35SB at Wilshire

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Multiple ambulances responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision along the interstate in Oklahoma City Thursday afternoon, reports KFOR News.
The incident happened sometime before 4:07 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35 at East Wilshire Boulevard, which is just northwest of Lake Aluma.
Officials closed the southbound lanes of I-35 in the vicinity of the crash for at least an hour while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
It’s still unclear how the accident happened, but police say it involved a jackknifed 18-wheeler. At least one person became entrapped and had to be extricated from their vehicle.
