Injuries reported in west OKC vehicle fire

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in downtown Oklahoma City have reported injuries resulting from a vehicle fire along I-40 Tuesday evening.
According to the Oklahoma City response and accident tracker, the incident occurred within the 2700 block of West I-40 near South May Avenue at about 4:30 p.m.
Details regarding the cause of the fire or the severity of injuries sustained as a result have not yet been released. However, this situation is still developing. Authorities are advising motorists to find an alternate route around this portion of I-40 as delays are likely throughout Tuesday evening’s rush-hour commute.
