Injuries reported rush-hour accident on I-240

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials in Oklahoma City were forced to shut down at least one lane on I-240 following a multi-vehicle accident Monday afternoon.
According to the official Twitter page of The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-240 near the Eastern Avenue overpass shortly before 3:00 p.m.

Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash or the severity of injuries sustained have not been made public at this time. However, troopers shut down the outside lane as a result of the crash causing delays for commuters in Southeast Oklahoma City.
