Injury crash slows rush hour traffic in downtown OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Authorities with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were forced to close down at least one lane along Interstate 235 southbound following a collision Tuesday evening.

According to the official Twitter page of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash happened on I-235 near the overpass with Interstate 40 at about 4:30 p.m.

Officials have reported injuries as a result of the crash. However, the extent of those injuries, as well as the number of people hurt, has not yet been made available.

The southbound lanes of I-235 at I-40 have since been reopened.
