Major crash on ramp from I-44 EB to N Pennsylvania Ave injures 3

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries have been reported in a major accident that happened on the interstate in northwest Oklahoma City on Monday, reports News 9.

The incident occurred sometime before 5:30 a.m. on the eastbound exit ramp from I-44 to North Pennsylvania Avenue, which is near Putnam Heights West.

Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the accident, nor have they commented on the number of vehicles involved. Video footage taken at the scene shows a black sedan with major damage.

Medics transported three people to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Officials closed the off-ramp from I-44 while emergency teams attended to the victims and worked to clear the wreckage.

A full investigation is underway.
