Man, 81, loses life to two-vehicle crash near Latta

NEAR LATTA, OK – An 81-year-old man from Ada was killed in a two-vehicle crash south of Latta on Thursday, KTEN reports.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Highway 1 and County Road 1570. OHP determined that the 81-year-old failed to yield the right of way, as he was coming onto CR 1570, and collided with another vehicle.
The 81-year-old man, identified as James Jackson, died from his injuries, while the other driver and their passenger were uninjured.
On a similar note, a 19-year-old man, also from Ada, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday that happened in Pickett, which is west of Latta and Ada.
