Man claimed in 3-vehicle collision on I-40 and Triple X Rd

CHOCTAW, OK – A Macomb man sustained fatal injuries Wednesday morning in a major accident along the interstate in Choctaw, reports KOCO News 5.
Shortly before 5:30 a.m., emergency teams were called to the area of I-40 and Triple X Road in response to a three-vehicle collision. This is just northwest of the Oklahoma Fire Department Station 36.
Police say that a drunk driver was stopped along the interstate after hitting an unidentified object in the roadway. The driver of a 1989 Honda Accord was unable to stop before hitting both the first vehicle and a second vehicle that had stopped behind it.
The driver of the Honda, identified as Dalton French, died after being entrapped in this vehicle for multiple hours.
It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the crash.
Authorities arrested the driver of the first vehicle on DUI charges.
