Man Dead After Truck Accidentally Slipped Into Gear

A man died after a truck slipped into gear, a January 27 article of Oklahoma’s News 4 reported.

The incident occurred at the 36000 block of East 71st Street, Sunday afternoon. 47-year-old Johnny Pearson died after a 1993 Freightliner undergoing repairs slipped into gear and struck him. He was pinned for around two hours before being extricated by the Broken Arrow Fire Department. Unfortunately, Pearson died from his injuries. The crash is still being investigated.
