Man dies in head-on crash in Muskogee County

BOYNTON, OK (MUSKOGEE COUNTY) – A man died yesterday in a head-on crash on US Highway 62 in Muskogee County, according to a report by KFOR.

The accident happened yesterday afternoon near Boynton on US-62 when the victim, 46-year-old Robert Burns, of Stigler, crossed into the left lane. He struck a vehicle carrying victims Kevin Pollard and Lisa Pollard head-on.

Burns died at the scene of the accident.

The Pollards were both taken to the hospital for treatment of several injuries.

All three were wearing their seatbelts when the accident happened, according to the report.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
