Man hit and killed by car while walking across NW Expressway in NW OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man walking across the Northwest Expressway from a convenience store was struck and killed by a vehicle in northwest Oklahoma City late Friday night, according to KFOR.
The accident happened near Candlewood Drive and the Northwest Expressway (Hwy 3) just before 11 p.m. when a man left a convenience store and crossed the street. He was struck by a vehicle, the driver only described as a young man.
On the way to the hospital, the victim, whose identity was not released, died.
Authorities do not suspect that the driver was under the influence when the accident occurred.
