Man killed in 2-vehicle crash involving semi on US-75 near Atoka

ATOKA CO., OK – A 41-year-old man died Wednesday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in central Atoka County, reports News on 6.

The incident happened around 9:40 p.m. on US-75 just west of the city of Atoka. This is about 130 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.

Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the collision, which they say involved a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler.

The unrestrained driver of the pickup truck died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified him as Zachariah Hale.

The driver of the the semi-truck did not sustain injuries in the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
