Man killed in I-40 collision near Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol have reported one fatality as the result of an early morning collision near Interstate 40 Wednesday.
According to News 9, the accident occurred at about 1 a.m. along I-40 near the Morgan Road exit. Police Say Kallan Smith, 25, was killed after being ejected from his vehicle following a collision with a barrier wall. Emergency responders found Smith nearly 20 feet from the impact site.
Officials believe the incident may have been a result of the victim driving while under the influence of alcohol. The official cause of the crash is still under investigation.
