TULSA CO., OK – A construction worker sustained serious injuries Monday when a vehicle struck him along a major roadway south of Sperry, reports Fox 23 News.

The accident happened along North Peoria Avenue near East 78th Street North. This is about 10 miles north of Tulsa.

Police say that the driver of a truck experienced a medial episode, which caused them to hit both a tractor and a construction worker before leaving North Peoria Avenue.

The construction worker went to the hospital with a serious leg injury after receiving lifesaving intervention from a police officer at the scene.

Medics also transported both occupants of the truck to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

A full investigation is underway.
