Millions of bees escape after semi-truck rollover in Garvin County

Millions of bees were released on a highway in Garvin County after the semi-truck hauling them got involved in an accident, an article from News 9 reported on September 30.
The solo truck accident reportedly happened at around 1:00 p.m. on September 29 on Interstate 35 in the southern portion of Pauls Valley. The semi-truck carrying honey bees fell to its side while driving on a ramp going to SB I-35. Though no other vehicles were involved in the accident, responding authorities experienced difficulty due to the spilled bees that swarmed at the crash scene. The unidentified truck operator received medical attention and was later discharged. Fire crews in Garvin County were expected to eliminate the bees after the crash.
