Mother killed in hit-and-run, family searching for answers

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 46-year-old woman was fatally struck by a truck north of OKC on March 2.

Heidi Smidt was walking near Quail Springs Mall at NW 140th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, when a driver in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck hit her, reports News9.

The suspect drove fled the scene, leaving Smidt in the roadway. She died at the scene of the crash.

Her two children, Cuesta Molina and Michael Estep are not giving up hope that the suspect will be found and prosecuted.
