OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A motorcyclist died Tuesday night in a single-vehicle collision along the interstate in northeast Oklahoma City, reports KFOR News 4.
The accident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. on the westbound side of I-44 near North Martin Luther King Avenue. This is just south of Millwood Elementary School in the Adventure District.
Police say that 29-year-old Syvannah L. Lopez was speeding when she lost control of her motorcycle and struck a cable barrier. The impact of the crash ejected Lopez, who died after transport to an area hospital.
The crash likely caused delays along I-44 westbound while emergency teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
