Motorcyclist hurt in Memorial Day weekend crash on Rockwell

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person went to the hospital Sunday after a three-vehicle collision along a major roadway in west-central Oklahoma City, reports News 9.

Sometime before 10:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to an accident along North Rockwell Avenue between Melrose Lane and Northwest 3rd Street, which is just northeast of the OKC Outlets.

Authorities haven’t disclosed the cause of the crash, which they say involved two passenger vehicles and a motorcycle.

Medics transported the motorcycle operator to an area hospital with critical injuries.

It’s unclear if anyone else involved in the accident sustained injuries.

Drivers faced lane closures along Rockwell Avenue in the area of the collision while crews assisted the victims and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
