Motorcyclist killed in 2-vehicle crash at OK-59 and Hopping Ave

WAYNE, OK – A Wayne motorcyclist died on Wednesday after his bike collided with a pickup truck along a highway in south-central McClain County.
According to KOCO News 5, the incident happened around 11 a.m. on Highway 59 at Hopping Avenue, which is between Highway 77 and Ropers Avenue.
The investigation indicates that the victim attempted to pass an eastbound 1999 Ford F-250 on his 2006 Yamaha motorcycle but crashed into the driver’s side of the truck as it turned left on Hopping Avenue.
Authorities identified the victim as Hayden Stanley. They say he died after transport to a local hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
