Motorcyclist killed in 2-vehicle Tulsa crash involving police chase

TULSA, OK – A 41-year-old male motorcyclist died on Wednesday after colliding with an SUV at a busy intersection in south Tulsa, reports Fox 23 News.
The incident happened in the afternoon near the intersection of East 58th Street and South Peoria Avenue, which is just northeast of Johnson Park.
Authorities say the motorcyclist was speeding southbound on Peoria Avenue away from Lighthorse Police when he collided with the front driver’s side of an SUV. The SUV was exiting a parking lot at the time of the crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as Brian Dexter Pruitt, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported the driver of the SUV to the hospital with unknown injuries.
It’s unclear at this time why police were pursuing Pruitt. A full investigation is underway.
