Multi-car crash near Kilpatrick Turnpike injures 4 people

ELK CITY, OK – Four people were injured in a crash near the Kilpatrick Turnpike Friday, KOKO reports.
The driver was heading home when they crashed near Route 66, Sara Rd, and the Kilpatrick Turnpike. Of the four people hurt in the collision, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were taken to the hospital in critical condition. It is unclear who was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision.
According to family members, the teen girl had multiple surgeries and has not woken up yet. She has fractures from her neck down to her back. Doctors have removed her spleen.
The wreck caused massive internal bleeding and collapsed both of the boy’s lungs. His pelvic bone was broken in three places. Doctors removed a kidney during surgeory.
