OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Delays were reported following a multi-vehicle crash during the Monday morning commute on Interstate 40 in Oklahoma City, according to KOCO.
The collision occurred on the westbound lanes of I-40 approaching North Mustang Road, in the city’s west side.
A preliminary investigation indicates that one vehicle collided with an Oklahoma City Police Department cruiser during a multi-vehicle incident. One vehicle came to rest off the interstate and traveled into a grassy area covered in snow.
While the involved vehicles appear to have sustained damage, no injuries were immediately reported.
Authorities have not indicated the cause of the accident, but aerial footage captured by KOCO shows the interstate was covered in snow and slush following a snowfall.
In the immediate aftermath of the crash, all westbound lanes of I-40 had been reduced, causing significant traffic in the area.
