Multi-vehicle crash closes lanes on Intestate 40

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol shut down a portion of Interstate 40 following a multi-vehicle collision near Oklahoma City late Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes on I-40 near the Fort Smith Junction and Interstate 35 shortly after 11:00 a.m., according to the Oklahoma City Highway Patrol official Twitter page.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision. However, the outside lane was closed for several hours causing afternoon delays along I-40.
