Multi-vehicle crash in Edmond halts traffic on I-35 SB near 33rd

EDMOND, OK – Motorists encountered significant delays along the interstate in Edmond Thursday morning following a crash involving at least two vehicles.
According to KOCO News 5, the accident happened before 11 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35 near East 33rd Street, which is south of Mercy Emergency Department.
Tow trucks responded to the scene to remove damaged vehicles from the interstate.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause or circumstances of the collision. At this time, it’s unclear if anyone sustained injuries or required hospitalization.
Traffic delays extended from East 33rd Street back to East 15th Street while emergency teams worked at the scene.
