Multiple injuries reported in Kay Co. ambulance crash

KAY CO., OK – At least four people were hurt Friday in a major crash involving an ambulance along the highway between Newkirk and Blackwell, reports Fox 25.
The accident happened around 1:3o p.m. on Highway 11, or Doolin Avenue.
Police say that multiple vehicles collided when a dust storm caused low visibility in the area.
Several people required hospitalization, including firefighters and medics from the ambulance. There’s no word yet regarding the patients’ conditions.
Officials closed the highway in the area of the accident while emergency teams worked to clear the scene.
