OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — Four juveniles were taken into custody early Wednesday after a crash caused by a tactical vehicle intervention in west Edmond, according to News On 6.
The maneuver was carried out on Oklahoma Highway 74 (Portland Avenue) near West Edmond Road, shortly after 1:05 a.m.
Edmond Police said the events first unfolded at West 15th Street and Fretz Avenue, where officers tried to pull over a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle sped away, prompting a pursuit.
Officials said as the fleeing vehicle began traveling at high speeds, officers conducted the TVI, causing the vehicle to crash as it came to a stop.

A male passenger and two female passengers also face several charges each.
While the teen driver was arrested, the passengers were released to their guardians.
An investigation remains ongoing, and charges are expected to be filed.
