Off-duty officer killed, 2 others injured in two-vehicle collision in Enid

ENID, OK – An off-duty police officer was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Monday, according to News9.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 90th and County Road Robertson with downedtraffic lights. Here, a northbound vehicle on County Road collided with a westbound vehicle.
The impact of the crash led to the death of the passenger inside the northbound vehicle and injured the northbound driver, a 46-year-old woman, and the westbound driver, a 63-year-old man from Cushing.
Enid police later identified the passenger of the northbound vehicle as 54-year-old Lee Frisendahl, an Enid local and a police officer for 19 years. Police confirmed Frisendahl was off-duty when the crash occurred.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not confirmed the severity of the injuries sustained by the drivers, but did confirm every occupant wore seatbelts.
At the time of the reporting, a funeral procession for Frisendahl was expected to begin at Garriott and end in Oklahoma City at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. OHP, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, Kremlin Fire Department, Hunter Fire Department, and Mercy Ambulance Service were among the first responders said to have participated in the procession.
