OKC police officer hurt in motorcycle crash on NW Expy

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – An Oklahoma City police officer sustained injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in northwest Oklahoma City, reports KFOR News 4.
The accident occurred in the morning at Northwest Expressway and Portland Avenue, which is just northwest of Penn Square Mall and south of Lake Hefner.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the crash, which they say involved a police motorcycle and a sedan. There’s no word regarding the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
The officer on the motorcycle required hospitalization for injuries of unknown severity.
It’s unclear if anyone in the other vehicle sustained injuries in the collision.
Drivers likely faced delays in the area of Northwest Expressway and Portland Avenue while emergency crews worked at the scene.
