Oklahoma Senator injured along Turner Turnpike

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Senator Allison Ikley-Freeman from Tulsa was traveling to the Capitol when her vehicle hydroplaned and hit another vehicle already on the side of the Turner Turnpike Friday morning.
According to KFOR, the previous driver’s vehicle also hydroplaned and was sent into a roadside ditch. Soon after, Sen. Ikley-Freeman hydroplaned in the same spot and also ran into the ditch.
The first driver, 44-year-old Enrique Lopez was unharmed when he slid off the road. However, he was killed when the second car ran into his.
The senator was transported to OU Medical Center and underwent surgery for her injuries. She is currently in stable condition.
