A person was found dead after a mobile home fire, a January 6 article of KOCO News 5 reported.

The incident happened at the intersection of University Avenue and Academy Road, in the 1200 block of Reihs Drive. Police received a call regarding the fire after 1:30 AM. When they arrived, they found two mobile homes fully engulfed in flames. Crews found it difficult to extinguish the fire, as the area was outside city limits where fire hydrants weren’t nearby. Around 2:30 AM, the flames have been extinguished but one of the houses was totally burned to the ground. Afterwards, crews found a victim in the debris. Then, it was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where a positive identification will be performed. Investigation regarding the cause of the fire is ongoing.
