NOBLE COUNTY, OK – A motorist was killed as the result of a three-car-collision near a highway construction zone east of Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
Dennis Southern, 68, of Pawnee was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle struck three other cars in a construction zone, according to News 9.
Southen was traveling southbound on US Highway 177 when he rear-ended a car that was stopped by an Oklahoma Department of Transportation Flagger. The crash caused Southern to travel into the oncoming lane where he was hit once more.
The two other drivers involved sustained minor injures but were not taken to the hospital. No one working at the construction site was injured.
