OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was killed in a crash that occurred while an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer was attempting to pull them over along Interstate 40 Thursday.

According to KOCO, the OHP officer attempted to pull a driver over for speeding on I-40 westbound near Agnew Avenue. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete pillar. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials are advising drivers to avoid this portion of I-40 while the crash is further investigated and cleared from the road Thursday.
