One dead, others injured in multi-vehicle collision

PITTSBURG COUNTY, OK – Investigators with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are looking into the cause of a crash that killed one and injured four Sunday.
According to News on 6, the crash occurred around 1:00 p.m. when two pickup trucks, a Chevrolet and a Dodge, crashed into each other along US Highway 270 near McAlester.
Loyd Sales, 70, was pronounced dead inside his Chevrolet when officials arrived at the scene. A passenger was transported to St. Francis Hospital and is in stable condition.
The occupants of the Dodge truck were all taken to McAlester Regional Health Center with minor injuries and have since been released.
No information regarding the cause of the crash has been released as of yet.
