One killed in collision along I-35 in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A woman from Midwest City was killed as a result of a collision along Interstate 35 northbound near Oklahoma City early Monday morning.
According to Fox 25, 28-year-old Mary Mainus was traveling northbound on I-35 north of Interstate 40 when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a barrier at about 4:00 a.m.
Upon paramedics’ arrival, Mainus was found ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. Another passenger in the vehicle was transported to Oklahoma University Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt when the accident took place.
Details regarding what caused Mainus to lose control of her vehicle have not yet been made available.
