One life claimed, another hurt in motorcycle-vehicle crash in Osage Co.

OSAGE COUNTY, OK – One life was claimed, and another was hurt in a motorcycle-vehicle crash in Osage County on Tuesday, KTUL reports.
The incident unfolded on U.S. 60 West. A box attached to a motorcycle fell off the bike. The motorcycle operator, identified as 44-year-old Jeremy Bearden, pulled onto the shoulder to allow another vehicle to pass. Then he came back onto the oncoming traffic and was struck by another vehicle while trying to turn around.
The vehicle came to rest in a ditch, and Bearden and his motorcycle passenger fell from the bike.
Bearden, from Ponca City, died from his injuries at the scene, while his passenger was injured.
The other driver was uninjured.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not reported any citations at this time.
