One man dead, another injured in N Oklahoma accident

BLACKWELL, OK (KAY COUNTY) – A man is dead, and another man is injured following an accident Thursday near Blackwell, in northern Oklahoma.
According to KFOR, the accident happened around 12:35 p.m. on U.S. Highway 177, located about a mile north from the town.
The victim is 71-year-old Billy Dean Burrow, of Hunnewell, Kansas, who was driving a 1990 Ford pickup truck when the accident happened. Burrow traveled off the left side of the roadway and then collided with a concrete culvert.
His body was pinned within the wreckage for over an hour before his body was recovered by emergency crews.
A passenger in the vehicle, an unidentified, 53-year-old man from Hunnewell, was also harmed during the accident. He was airlifted to a hospital in Kansas and was later released after treatment. The passenger was wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened, while Burrow was not.
