Pedestrian fatally struck by hit-and-run vehicle in Colbert

COLBERT, OK – A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after getting struck by a vehicle on U.S. 69 on Monday, KTEN reports.
Eyewitnesses told the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Colbert Police that the suspect did not render aid or call 911 and fled the scene prior to their arrival.
Law enforcement declared the pedestrian dead at the scene and shut down the area for the investigation period.
Colbert Police are leading the investigation on the hit-and-run crash and are being assisted by OHP and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
