Pedestrian hit, critically hurt by vehicle in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was hospitalized with critical injuries Tuesday morning after being hit by a car in northwest Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.
The incident took place near Northwest 15th Street and May Avenue, in the city’s Miller neighborhood. Emergency responders arrived on the scene just after 7:05 a.m.
Officials have not disclosed the circumstances of the event, but the pedestrian was seen stepping into the roadway before being struck.
Medics tended to the victim at the scene before transporting them by ambulance to a local hospital. According to police, the patient was last listed in critical condition but is expected to survive their injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. No pending charges have been reported at this time.
