Pedestrian hospitalized following overnight collision

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One man was rushed to the hospital following a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash southwest of downtown Oklahoma City early Monday morning.
According to News 9, the man was struck near the intersection of 36th Street and South Independence Avenue sometime before 3:30 a.m.
Police say the female driver of a pickup truck hit the pedestrian as he stepped off the curb into the middle of the road away from a crosswalk.
The victim is in stable condition as of Monday afternoon. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
