Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run on 5th St near NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A woman was hospitalized early Friday after being struck by a vehicle on Northwest 5th Street in northwest Oklahoma City, according to KOCO.
The incident took place at the intersection with MacArthur Boulevard, near the Manwell Acres neighborhood, at about 2:30 a.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but Oklahoma City Police said the female pedestrian suffered head injuries after being hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
First responders transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.
At this time, authorities have not released a description of the fleeing vehicle or any information about the driver.
