TULSA, OK – A 42-year-old man died Thursday in an auto-pedestrian crash involving two vehicles at a busy intersection in northeast Tulsa, reports KTUL News 8.
The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. on US-169 just north of East 56th Street North, which is north of Costco and east of the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the circumstances of the collision, which they say involved a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and a 2017 Nissan Sentra. It’s unclear if the Hyundai and the Nissan collided with each other, or if each vehicle struck the pedestrian separately.
The pedestrian, identified as James Sgroi, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Neither of the drivers sustained injuries in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
