Pedestrian killed in collision with OKC motorcyclist

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma City Police department are investigating a fatal pedestrian vs. motorcycle collision near downtown early Thursday morning.
According to KFOR, the crash occurred in the southbound lane of Morgan Road close to Interstate 40 at about 5:40 a.m.
Police believe the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street away from a crosswalk when he was struck by an oncoming motorcycle. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Details regarding the identities of those involved have not yet been made available.
Officials shut down southbound lanes of Morgan Rd. following the crash.
