Police chase on Kirsey Rd in Bryan Co. ends in fatal motorcycle crash

BRYAN CO., OK – A 20-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Monday in a motorcycle accident in west-central Bryan County, reports Fox 25.

The accident happened in the evening along Kirsey Road, which runs north to south from Durant to just west of Calera.

Police say the motorcyclist lost control of his 2024 Kawasaki and crashed into a fence while speeding and attempting to evade an officer from the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office.

The motorcyclist, identified as Tristian Smith, died at the scene of the crash.

Authorities haven’t yet specified the reason for the police pursuit.

A full investigation is underway.
