Police investigate fatal head-on crash involving semi in Luther

LUTHER, OK – A wrong-way collision involving a sedan and an 18-wheeler killed a man in northeast Oklahoma County on Tuesday, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. along the Turner Turnpike in the city of Luther, which is about thirty minutes northeast of Oklahoma City.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the eastbound driver of a 2014 Nissan Sentra entered the westbound side of the turnpike and collided head-on with a westbound semi-truck.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as 23-year-old Osvaldo Aguilar, died at the scene after being entrapped in their vehicle for five minutes.
No other injuries were reported in connection to the accident.
Officials closed the turnpike in the area of the crash while crews worked at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
