Police searching for driver who left the scene of an injury crash in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 44 Monday night in which the driver fled the scene.
According to News 9, the incident occurred near the intersection of I-44 and Northwest 39th Street in the late hours of the night. Police say the driver was attempting to exit the freeway when he collided with a barrier.
Authorities discovered a female victim who appeared to be under the influence. The driver allegedly ran away from the scene on foot. Their identity, as well as the identity of the female victim, have not yet been released.
