Possible injury crash blocks traffic at SW 29th and May

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Medics were called to the scene of a major accident in southwest Oklahoma City on Friday morning, reports KOCO News 5.

The collision occurred sometime before 7 a.m. at the intersection of Southwest 29th Street and May Avenue near Woodson Park in the Industrial Heights neighborhood.

Authorities haven’t yet commented on the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved.

Video footage taken at the scene depicts a black or gray sedan with heavy damage to its front-end.

While a wrecker and an ambulance reported to the scene, it’s unclear if anyone required medical attention or hospitalization.

Officials closed one lane on the eastbound side of Southwest 29th while emergency teams worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
