OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 16-year-old teenager and an 18-year-old teenager were arrested following a pursuit-turned-collision in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
The events unfolded around 5 a.m. in Choctaw. According to KFOR, an Oklahoma County deputy noticed that one of the teens (it’s unclear which teen was behind the wheel) was going 100 mph. A deputy attempted to pull over the teen driver going 100 mph. However, the teen did not listen, which called for a pursuit.
Eventually, the teen crashed their car into the Oklahoma River off I-35 and North Pennsylvania Avenue. Both teens jumped out of the car prior to the car going into the water.
The 18-year-old teenager, later identified as Aiden Hall, sustained back and leg injuries and was sent to the hospital.
It’s unclear if the other teen was hurt. Officials arrested Hall and the 16-year-old and said both of them were fleeing law enforcement because they had warrants out for their arrest. Both are facing felony eluding charges.
Tow truck crews removed the vehicle from the water, and deputies located various evidence, including marijuana products, primarily gummies, vapes, and more.
