Rollover involving dump truck at I-240, Meridian sparks fire

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Crews responded to a major accident along the interstate in southwest Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon, reports KFOR News 4.
The single-vehicle collision occurred sometime before 4 p.m. on I-240, or Airport Road, near Meridian Avenue, which is just north of Will Rogers International Airport.
Police haven’t yet commented on the cause of the crash, which they say involved a dump truck. The truck overturned after downing several power lines and sparking a grass fire.
It’s unclear if anyone inside the dump truck sustained injuries in the crash.
Officials closed both sides of I-240 while emergency crews worked to put out the fire and clear the scene.
