Sayre man dead in I-40 motorcycle accident

BECKHAM COUNTY, OK – One man is dead following a motorcycle accident on Interstate 40 this morning in Beckham County, according to a report by KFOR.
The victim has been identified as William C. Lowe, 45, of Sayre. Lowe crashed a 1995 Honda motorcycle on I-40, about three miles west of Elk City, at around 5:20 a.m.
The crash occurred when Lowe attempted a left turn. He lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road.
Lowe was not wearing his helmet, according to the report.
The road was not wet at the time of the crash, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
