Scooter rider seriously injured in crash with car in SW OKC

SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A scooter rider sustained serious injuries in a crash with a car in Southwest Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Koco5 said the incident occurred after 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of South Walker Avenue and Southwest 69th Street. There, the scooter rider was struck by a car.

Officials did not specify what kind of injuries the scooter rider suffered, but said EMS rushed them to a hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed the car driver stayed at the scene, but have not confirmed whether they would face charges or were cited.
